Judge Gomez has a BA from Angelo State University and his J.D. from Texas Tech University.Judge Gomez maintained a general practice in San Angelo, Texas for 17 years before taking the bench. His primary areas of practice were criminal, family, personal injury and real estate.  He was first elected to the position of 112th District Judge and took the bench on January 1, 2007.  He was re-elected to the same position in 2010, 2014 and 2018.
